I love this cartoon avatar generator- I ended up doing a "MessDude" of each member of my entire family. Much to their total horror at my impression of them :) Ah well, lots of fun to be had creating fully customisable little dudes for your mobile, messenger avatar, windows login screen, t-shirt even, the list goes on.
